About Me

For 18 years, I have provided solution-focused career counseling for adult professionals and traditional college students. Now with four years of licensed professional counseling experience, I use practical, evidence-based tools to help clients do the courageous work of therapy. My strengths-based, solution-focused approach to counseling means that I believe that you have untapped, forgotten, or underdeveloped resources. I believe that can help you reach your mental health and wellness goals with your own strengths. I believe that I can help affirm your strengths and guide you toward solutions.

I offer a safe space to do the courageous work of personal growth. Using a non judgmental approach and evidence-based practices, I hope to support, encourage, educate, and empower you. I'll walk with you to help strengthen awareness and increase personal and professional growth.

In just 3 appointments, Melissa has really cracked open my world and allowed me to see things differently. Now I recognize the opportunities I have and also my blindspots. She has such a soothing voice and way of understanding me without judgment. It is a gift to have her as my therapist and I can say with certainty that she is well worth the investment.

Melissa has been a tremendous help from the gecko. She’s patient, sincere, thoughtful, and overall a pleasure to talk to. She’s helped me understand ways I can grow my mindfulness and how to cope with stressful/anxious situations. She has been really really reassuring and supportive in new my journey during these strange new times. After every session I’ve felt more positive and more at ease. But thanks to her advice and guidance, I am able to take what I learned and manage my stress/anxiety on my own!

Melissa offers a variety of exercises/tips on how to approach an issue that you have. These help you work out and organize your thoughts. She also provides tips that I have never thought of before. She's a great person to talk to about some then come up with adequate solutions or coping skills!
