I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Middle Tennessee with over 20 years of experience providing clinical services to individuals, families and organizations. Throughout the years, I have provided direct clinical services in a variety of settings to clients with a variety of emotional, behavioral, and/or relational concerns. I am experienced and skilled in completing comprehensive assessments, conceptualizing clinical needs and strengths, genuinely engaging people in a friendly and unassuming manner, working from a systems and strengths-based perspective, and effectively navigate through larger systems in order to successfully advocate for the best interest of clients.
I am particularly trained and skilled in the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR and also utilize elements of Client Centered and Solution Focused Therapies. I have a particular interest and expertise in working with blended, foster, and adoptive families from a trauma-informed perspective. Other areas of interest include helping people overcome the stigma of medical or mental health diagnoses/issues and learning to embrace their identity beyond their diagnosis. With my experience in social service management, I have also developed an interest in organizational safety systems and helping people process through and cope with work related stresses. On a personal level, I am a follower of Jesus Christ and infuse a Christian worldview into my counseling with others. All in all, I am passionate about helping people navigate through and rise above difficult life circumstances in order to become and embrace all that God created them to be and to do.
It takes courage to take the first step in asking for help and working towards positive change for yourself and your life. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to partnering with you!

Very perceptive in discerning the fundamentals from the details, the wheat from the chaff. Very helpful clarifying matters to the client in the same manner.
