About me

Hi!!!
My name is Mia Anderson and I have been practicing in Oklahoma for nearly 10 years. I have a M.Ed in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Central Oklahoma. Prior to becoming a therapist, I taught children with special needs which truly helped me understand the unique challenges facing many children and families in our state.

I incorporate a trauma informed approach to help individuals struggling with addictions, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, family/relationship issues, and trauma.
My counseling approach is individualized and genuine. I strive to build a positive relationship with all clients to help them fully recognize and utilize their strengths to navigate life challenges. Do you often feel weighed down by life? If so, I would love to walk with you during this time.

Please keep in mind typically session last 30-45 minutes. My availability at this time is restricted to live messaging/chat.

Mia and I have been doing sessions for a few months now and I'm definitely better off for it. She listens well and is very personable. She gets back to messages in a timely manner and seems to genuinely be interested in our discussions. I'd definitely recommend her.

Mia has been awesome so far! She responds quickly, even though most of my notes are quite long and rambling. She makes me feel grounded and understood. She makes attempts to keep me accountable regarding my productivity and progress. It's my first time utilizing the services of a counselor since I was a young kid, and I've felt comfortable the entire way through. I enjoy being able to use the message function as needed, and look forward to her helpful responses!
