Hello, my name is Dr. Mia L. Johnson. I hold a Doctorate in Counseling Education, a Master of Education Degree in Counseling, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. In addition, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), State Board of Education Certified School Counselor (CSC), and a State Board of Education Certified School Teacher.
My primary theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My clinical experience entails working with adolescents and adults with a concentration in dual diagnosis and addiction. I have worked with clients in various settings such as, schools, agencies, hospitals, and correctional facilities. I offer counseling to address depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, ADD/ADHD, and parenting.
