Michael (John) Hoag, LCSW
About me
I am a licensed therapist in Illinois with a master’s degree from the University of Illinois. Since 2006, I have worked with foster families as a social worker and at a county mental health center as a therapist. I currently have a private practice.
My approach is first to listen and then ask the right questions. I try to ask the right questions so you can formulate your own advice. After all, you know your life situation better than anyone. Huge problems such as thoughts that won’t stop, emotions that can’t be controlled, sadness, panic, abuse and trauma, habits that won’t go away…these are problems you have to talk about because thinking about problems sometimes is just not enough.
I look forward to hearing from you.
