I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in the state of Arizona with over 10 years of experience working with victims of combat trauma and their families. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, sleep, relationship issues, parenting problems, and career challenges. I also helped many people who have experienced abuse during their formative years.
My counseling style is warm, understanding, and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and psychodynamic counseling. I also offer EMDR for those who are trying to move past trauma, depression, anxiety, or performance improvement. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
Working under the guiding philosophy of, "You are the expert of your life, while I am simply the professional consultant," I believe it is important that we work together as a team. I know It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change, but f you are ready to take that step I am here to support and help empower you. At the end of the day, my favorite thing about being a counselor is seeing the client I work with achieve their goals.
I look forward to working with you!

I’ve had a few therapist but so far he is the best by far
Very nice and understanding and a good communicator between a relationship.
Mike has been very supportive and has given me many good ideas on how to look at my life differently.
Sets realistic goals, is quick to respond, encourages me, and when I reach a goal vocalizes he is proud.
I've been surprised at how nice this person has been, and how responsive, and I was grateful that he didn't force EMDR, and respected me opening up and doing cognitive behavioral therapy for a while, as I'm going through a rough transition right now. And I have no family to help me with it at all.
I can be very open and he respects what I have to say, and has insightful thoughts on how to adjust my reactions and thoughts on how I react to things. So far a very positive experience.
His advice and knowledge are easily consumable and are easily applied to life.
