Dr. Michael Trexler

(Ph.D., LMHC, LPC)

About Me

Most people come to counseling either feeling stuck in their present situation or in significant emotional pain. My ambition is to help you resolve or learn ways to better manage your concern(s). My clinical orientation is one that focuses on the awareness of thoughts, feelings (physically felt), behaviors, and relationships, and how these affect the distress a person is experiencing. I am licensed to provide mental health services in both Indiana and Virginia. My experiences include working in a university counseling center, a private practice, and currently with medical trainees in a large medical school. I count it a wonderful honor to join you during this time in your life. Be confident that your therapeutic work is of great value to me, and it is my mission to support you in a non-judgmental and caring manner.
