About me

Greetings, I am marriage and family therapist licensed in the state of Georgia. I am experienced with working in community mental health with a diversity of clients of all ages and many different concerns, such as: depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD, trauma, relationship issues, coping skills, ADHD, parenting and family issues, crisis counseling, and more. I have specialized training in: the Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy® (EFT), Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT), the Enneagram, and I’m a certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®).

My focus in sessions is in helping clients make sense of their lives, finding solutions in the present to current and past issues, and empowering clients to create the change or relief they are seeking. I believe the connection between client and therapist is an important part of what makes change happen, so my therapy style is conversational and interactive. During the initial session, I like to explore what is bringing clients to therapy, what they hope to get out of their sessions, and what goals they would like to focus on during our time together. I am a person of faith, open to exploring issues of faith when helpful for clients, but I am always comfortable working with clients of differing belief systems, orientations, and backgrounds. I became a therapist later in life so my life experiences help my understanding and compassion of others’ struggles. I am looking forward to working with you!
