About Me

Michelle brings a strong passion, positive attitude, and personal insight into all of her therapy sessions. She is unique in her approach to working with clients because she views the whole person in his/her environment and bases each treatment plan off the totality of the client’s individual experience. Michelle believes that changing perspective and maintaining a healthy sense of self is possible with proper support and insight.

Michelle has a strong background in treating those with eating and substance use disorders across a variety of clinical settings. She enjoys walking clients through their own recovery process and helping others to increase their own self-confidence. Michelle also has experience assisting clients in overcoming anxiety and depression through CBT and mindfulness techniques. Michelle graduated Summa Cum Laude from California State University, Sacramento with her bachelor’s in Psychology and went on to graduate from California State University, Sacramento with her Master’s in Social Work. Michelle has been providing counseling and social work services since the year 2006.

I’ve never done anything like this and it’s really nice being able to write down what’s going on in that moment rather than trying to remember later.
