Dr. Michelle Flores

(PhD)

About Me

I am a Licensed Psychologist with more than ten years of therapy experience. I treat a wide-range of concerns, but I specialize in the treatment of trauma (e.g., PTSD), mood disorders (e.g., depression and anxiety), and personality disorders (e.g., Borderline Personality Disorder) in adults. Even though I am trained to deliver effective, evidence-based treatments (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy), I integrate aspects of several therapies to best suit the individual needs of each person. I firmly believe that one size does not fit all when it comes to mental health treatment.

As a bilingual and bicultural psychologist, I am also adept at creating culturally-appropriate, affirming, and welcoming environments for my patients. It's important to me that you feel comfortable and safe during your session so you will get the most out of your treatment. My philosophy is to promote your autonomy while working with you to become the best version of yourself.

My previous professional experiences include working with university students, incarcerated men, Veterans, and military families. I consider myself to be a great, therapeutic fit for most people. Please reach out so we can discuss your specific needs and what you hope to get from therapy. We will find a way to help you meet your goals and live a life worth living!
