I am a Clinical Social Worker based in Georgia. Many of my clients come in to address Addiction, depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, and/or because life is hard. I am particularly passionate about serving clients that feel alone.
In sessions, I focus on understanding and paying attention to you. My approach supports you to leave sessions with a better understanding of yourself, have a plan, feel more relaxed, and be more able to move forward. I am non-judgmental, engaging, warm, and caring. I will laugh with you, cry with you, and give you a safe space. I desire to establish a strong therapeutic relationship where you will feel safe, seen, and heard. I want every client to know they are cared for on a personal level.
I received my MSW from the University of Georgia (UGA): I am a DAWG :). I have worked at a Local MAT clinic, where I worked with individuals with substance use disorders. I also provided services for other common disorders with persons that use substances, such as trauma, family relations, depression, anxiety, learning emotions, and grief. I am passionate about the world being a kinder place, I strive to ensure every person I encounter leaves being/feeling better than before.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Michelle King. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Still very happy with my therapy and especially my therapist, we're a really good fit! Michelle makes me feel like I am talking to a friend more than a therapist which makes it easy to open up. Highly recommend her!
Doctor Michelle has been with me through my hardest times, and was there to support me through the toughest situations and periods in my life so far this year, and I can’t thank her enough! She knows what she is doing and is so warm, caring, comforting, and welcoming. Not only that, but she treats you like a real friend would! Talking with Doctor Michelle does not feel clinical and intimidating whatsoever.
Michelle is so great and personable, I really like how down to earth she is. This is nothing like I thought therapy would be - with those stuffy offices and some snooty know-it-all peeking over a notebook and judging your every word. She truly makes this a safe, heling time. On days I don't want to get into anything heavy, she's okay with just talking about the week and smaller issues. I don't feel pressured to talk with her, she's really the best.
It's still early, but so far I thnk Michelle has provided me a lot of usefull tools to use on an everyday basis, which helped with my anxiety.
Thank you, Michelle! Good to be back
It has been a great experience processing with Michelle;'she is kind, thoughtful and has offered me some useful resources to help think through what I'm dealing with. Highly recommended!
In the few sessions so far, I have seen a positive change I wanted to see in me. There is a long road ahead, but a solid start like this is the motivation I needed.
Good she's good, she listened and gave good advice.
The moment I met my therapist I felt so safe and heard. I know that I can express anything and not feel judged about what I am sharing. I look foward to our meetings everytime.
Michelle listens and then responds with great insight. She’s been really helpful. So glad to have found her.
I always feel comfortable speaking with Michelle and she always knows just what to say. So glad I chose to go on this therapy journey.
