Welcome and thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey. I have over 5 years experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and traditional outpatient treatment in private practice settings. I have experience working with a broad range of individuals struggling with various mental health issues as well as addictions. I have the most experience working with adolescents and adults managing anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, relationship conflict, family conflict, career stress, and addictions.
I use a person-centered, psychodynamic, and eclectic approach in treatment. In other words, I begin where you are and tailor treatment to your needs while being sensitive to how your personal identity and background have impacted your experience. During treatment, I primarily utilize evidence-based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused treatment, and motivational interviewing. However, my research and experience will tell you that the most important factor in determining the effectiveness of therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. My approach is both warm and supportive and I place a strong emphasis on building rapport and trust in developing the therapeutic relationship. Together, we will work on establishing goals, making changes, and increasing self-awareness in order to help you achieve your highest potential.
You have taken the first step in taking better care of yourself. Everyone is deserving of love and belonging and I look forward to being a part of your journey to wellness.
