About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California. I have over 25 years of experience working with various populations including individuals with severe mental illness, addictions, families, children, couples and individuals. I’ve worked with a broad range of concerns including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, relationship issues and parenting problems.
My passion in life is to help others identify and nurture their strengths. My treatment style is to use a collaborative, client-centred approach. I believe in working with clients in an honest professional manner to help them feel empowered and motivated to take control of their lives and realize that they can achieve happiness and resolve any life issues they may have. I enjoy connecting with others using empathy, listening and a sense of humour.
I will do an initial background assessment and then we will set goals from there.
I look forward to working with you.

Michelle was really lovely and approachable. She really read and digested my first messages and broke it all down into manageable topics. She helped give me pointers and aims at the end of each session to work on and focus on for the next session to help with my ways of managing different situations. Thank you Michelle!

Michelle is absolutely amazing. She is kind and a wants to listen to every word you have to say. She feels everything you feel. If you’ve had a good week, she rejoices with you. If you’ve had a hard week, she works through it with you. With Michelle, you aren’t alone.

I have only been working with her for a few sessions but there's already a difference in professionalism with Ms. Riley. I NEVER feel judged which is super important to me. Sessions aren't intense, her bubbly and caring personality makes each session light and comforting!
