About me

Making a decision to find someone to support you on your journey can be a difficult step to take. With so many questions to answer, it can feel a little intimidating. How do you know you're going to find the right fit for you? Are there questions you'd like answered but you don't know how to phrase them?

Before we start our journey, one of the most important steps is ensuring that you feel comfortable, and getting answers to the questions you may have while talking through your options together.

As a Person-Centred Counsellor, my work is at a pace that suits you, offering both short term and long-term therapy depending upon your needs. It's important that you remain in control of how your therapy progresses, I like to think that you are in the driving seat throughout our time together.

I can offer a safe environment for us to explore whatever you may wish to bring to each session, with empathy. We can work together to build a trusting and therapeutic relationship, without judgement, which enables you to explore your thoughts and feelings and come to a better understanding and management of them. We all have the ability to grow with the right tools to create that growth and understanding.

I have over ten years of experience in working with adults from differing backgrounds, through a range of issues, particularly around domestic and sexual abuse and bereavement.

Never doing therapy before I was very nervous going in, but having a person centered therapist means I can do things in the way that suits me. There is no expectation from Michelle, she makes me think about what my reasons are and calls me out when I’m unrealistic. I couldn’t recommend her enough after only 3 weeks I’m learning more about myself than I thought possible.
