Michelle Tortora, LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has experience working with adults in outpatient and inpatient settings. Michelle received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018 from Johnson and Wales University. Her areas of expertise include treating people with depression, anxiety, and adjustment difficulties. Michelle provides blended treatment to meet the clients’ needs, including person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Focusing on the whole person, Michelle’s goal for treatment is to build resilience, promote personal growth and to help individuals rediscover meaning. In her spare time she enjoys crafting, gardening and playing with her dogs.

Michelle is the best therapist I have ever had. She truly makes an effort to get to know you and genuinely wants to help. I've made so much progress without even realizing it. I am so grateful to have found her and cannot recommend her enough.

Extremely understanding. She sends me videos to watch, and worksheets to keep my therapy moving in the right direction. She always answers me in a timely manner, and does not make me feel ashamed for any of my feelings.
