I feel that I am very blessed to be able to do what I do as a counselor. I have over 20 years of helping people heal, grow and experience a higher quality of life and it has been incredibly rewarding for me. I am passionate about being a counselor, coach and teammate, I strive for noticeable improvement in the vast majority of the people that I work with and I would describe my overall style as very interactive and connected in the counseling process.
I will listen to you, support you, and seek to give clarity and guidance where you have been confused. This may mean helping you heal from wounds of the past, dealing with current stressors, or helping you communicate with more understanding and clarity.
***Note~ To save you time and bring clarity, I do not do "messaging" as a counseling modality. I work almost 100% using scheduled Video or Phone appointments. If you need a counselor who messages back and forth with you throughout the week, we would not be a good fit.
I work with ages 21 up to 75 for individual therapy (no Couples or Family sessions) and I have extensive training in several forms of therapy such as DBT, CBT, Trauma Release and use whatever techniques and approaches will be most beneficial to you. I am happy to work with all belief systems and will cater my approach to you. One area is interweaving Christian wisdom and healing to help Christian based clients use the faith and wisdom as a means of healing.
I also find it useful to provide my clients with education on family cycles to gain insight regarding family patterns and how to set appropriate boundaries with those who can be toxic.
I am excited that you are taking steps to living a happier and healthier life. I am more than happy to help you in anyway I can. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho. My Master of Arts degree was attained at Antioch University in Los Angeles and I specialize in the treatment of PTSD (trauma healing), anxiety, and stress.
Thank you for visiting my profile and I hope to meet you soon!
