About Me

Greetings! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of WI and MO. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from Ball State University in 1995. I have enjoyed over 16 years experience in a variety of settings. These include online therapy, community counseling, in-home therapy, in-patient treatment for eating disorders, and counseling within a correctional institution for substance-related disorders. I have helped people with a range of issues, including anxiety, trauma, attention deficit, depression, relationship issues, career issues, eating disorders, and substance abuse.

As I work with you, my desire is that you always feel heard, understood, and validated. I hope to gain your trust and build a personal yet therapeutic relationship with you. Beyond this, I want to share practical tools and skills to help you accomplish your goals and feel better. I have many tools in my pocket to share with you that come from Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, and Internal Family Systems therapy approaches.

I have found that one of the benefits of online counseling is that you have the ability to pace your therapy. I am here to meet you where you are at. Whether you desire to dive into this process with intensity or take a more laid back approach until you feel more comfortable, whether you desire to be given lots of structured assignments or just talk about your day and know that I will sincerely listen, I will respect your needs and what you desire to get out of your therapy. I will check in and communicate with you up to 3 times per day, five days a week.

I look forward to working with you!

I have been working with Mindy for a few months, and she has been amazing to work with. She is incredibly attentive and always checks in if I’ve been slow to respond. She’s made great suggestions of reading material and coping techniques that I now incorporate into my day to day, as well as adapted counseling style when I didn’t feel it was working for me. I’d highly recommend her!

Mindy has been steadfast support to me during an extremely challenging time in my life. She validates my feelings and experiences and works with me where I’m at. She allows me time to talk if that’s all I want do that day. The topics are heavy. It’s not easy. Mindy provides clarity and offers a variety of options to try to help develop healthy coping skills. She remains very supportive. I really appreciate and value her a lot.
