About Me
I appreciate you taking a personal initiative of becoming a better you. It takes a great deal of courage to better your life and situation(s), to which I applaud you in doing so. If you choose for us to work together, you will be met with warmth and compassion, as I am not here to place judgement nor unproductive criticism. Counseling should be a partnership and I will always meet you with respect, sensitivity, and understanding while empowering you to take the steps needed in becoming the best version of yourself. If you are ready to take this step then I am here ready to take that step with you.
I want to share some background information of my education, work experiences, and therapeutic frameworks. I received a master’s degree in counseling psychology (MS) from Avila University in 2013 and am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri. Thus far, I have obtained knowledge and expertise in working with individuals experiencing addictions, negative mental health symptoms, and relationship/familial issues. In addition, I have provided counseling and assessment in residential, outpatient, community mental health settings, and places of incarceration.
I utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach, as no one person is alike. I merry two therapeutic frameworks of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy. These two frameworks are centered around the notion that each individual is the expert of themselves and holds the key in uncovering the solutions to their unique problems. Additionally, psychotherapy will assist in helping one become more aware of negative or inaccurate thinking, so that you can face new challenges in a more productive clearer thought pattern. As we explore therapy, it is my hope that you will find clarity of your own thoughts and understand your feelings better. It is important to know that we will have a therapeutic relationship where I will assist you in exploring the outcomes of your decisions rather than guiding you to a particular decision/conclusion.
I look forward in working with you and seeing your life become what you wish it to be!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Miranda Tamburello. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I have been working with Miranda for a little over three months now. I was hesitant when I started since it was online and not face-to-face, but that quickly changed. Miranda listens intently and always seem to circle around at the end of a session to things that we had talked about in previous sessions. If I don’t post in a couple of days, she will reach out to check on things. Even though we have never met face-to-face, I feel I can tell her any of my hidden secrets and she will follow along the journey with me.
Working with Miranda is everything I had hoped therapy could be. In less than a year, I have been guided to have the confidence to call myself out when necessary, and have the peace of mind to make mindful, measured decisions without worrying about the factors that are out of my control. 10/10, would recommend working with this absolute angel.
She is a good therapist with a fair approach but she’s incompetent when it comes to time management. She had to change appointment times or was totally late and we had to reschedule, more times than I’d care for. Enough times for me to be talking about it. I feel like therapists have a duty to play when it comes to that. Your clients come to you for YOUR help, and then you give them a reason to not to want it anymore. I hope you change and organize your life better.
I was apprehensive at first, but I’ve had a few sessions now with Miranda and I’m not sure if it will work out but I’m so optimistic and open for change and she’s so supportive and affirming and I hope she can help me.
From just one session and some messages back and forth, I already feel like Miranda may just be the perfect match. I've encountered many therapists during my recovery and none have been as empathetic and open-minded as Miranda. I'm looking forward to talking more with her!
Miranda and I started our counseling sessions recently but so far she has been respectful and caring. Every session she listens to what I am saying and cares enough to follow up throughout the week. I don’t feel judged by her and I feel comfortable talking to her about the things that are currently on my mind. Thanks for caring!
I have received a great deal of benefit from counseling with Miranda! She is kind, thoughtful, and generous with her time. I would highly recommend her!
My time with Miranda so far has been amazing shes compassionate shows empthaty and helps me really get a non bias and different approach to help me conquer and get to my goals. She has been a big part to my success of understanding myself and my happiness. I would reccomend Miranda Tamburello to all my friends and family! STRANGERS TOO!!! She is very attentive and understanding I have really enjoyed my time with her:)
Although it's only been one session with Miranda, I am extremely happy to have fortuitously stumbled upon her profile and work with her! She has an incredible warmth in the way she listens and responds, and even through the phone, I could feel her care. She is also very sharp & incisive; deducing things about me right away from patterns. I'm truly impressed haha! I think the way she structures her sessions offer a nice balance between focused topics as well as free conversation. Truly looking forward to working thru life with Miranda !
I had a terrible experience with a counselor when I was younger and decided I would never go to one ever again... Well, some life event happened and I just couldn't do it on my own anymore, I simply didn't know how. I found Miranda, and she feels like a best friend! She explained and helps me work things out in a way that really connects with me and I actually look forward to our sessions now instead of dreading the thought like I did originally. Miranda has seriously changed my life and I owe her a lot for it.
I started counseling sessions with Miranda a couple of weeks ago, she is very friendly and in this short time I was able to understand my concerns and issues better with her help
She's great. I've never had a therapist before and couldn't be happier
miranda is thoughtful and works with you to process heavy emotions
Miranda helped me gain back my confidence in my ability to handle what life has handed me. She gave me a safe space to reassemble the confused pieces of myself during one of the darkest times in my life. I will forever be grateful for her and what she did for me ❤️ I only wish I could have spoken to her more frequently.
Miranda has been incredibly understanding of my emotions and the issues I have been having. She is a great listener and a really friendly person. I can tell that she really cares about helping people.
Miranda is very kind and helpful. She usually is able to help find times to work with your schedule
I've been holding in a lot of trauma that trails back all the way to my childhood. I was matched to Miranda and she has just been wonderful. She seems to genuinely care about me and would chat with me in between scheduled sessions just to make sure I'm ok. I haven't had someone that I can be completely open with and it is so refreshing to not have to hide my past or present traumas. I think only Miranda knows the real me. It's also nice to know that someone randomly thinks of you and messages you to let you know that they're thinking of you.
She is wise and kind and she is very helpful
I’ve had difficulty sharing my feelings, but I’m just a few short conversations I feel I can trust her and I truly feel that she cares about my mental health.
Mrs. Tamburello is a nice lady, she is a very supportive person. I'm happy she's my therapist.
If I only can say one thing about Miranda, its going to be she shows that she is genuinely care about me.
