Hello!! I am a licensed clinical psychologist (NY and TX, and currently living in Oregon!) and my goal is to help every client achieve a more balanced and meaningful life. Whether it's by helping you sleep better, managing your pain more effectively, resolving difficult interpersonal experiences, or facilitating the healing process following a trauma or loss, my aim is to ease stress and suffering and get you back on track to health & resiliency.
I am originally from NY and obtained a PhD in Clinical Psychology from St. John's University. Since 2002, I have worked in a number of settings, including outpatient and residential settings, school based clinic, state law enforcement agency, Army base, and VA hospital. Working in these various settings has given me an opportunity to work with a richly diverse population, which I have immensely treasured. I currently have a private practice in Austin, Texas and continue to offer a collaborative approach to treatment with my clients. Although I primarily draw from Mindfulness Based and Cognitive Behavioral principles, I do not approach treatment with a cookie cutter approach. Each client has their own unique needs and personality style, thus interventions are always tailored with this in mind.

I've never connected with a counselor like Mirna. She has amazing advice and wisdom and a wonderful way of helping you find perspective. She's taught me that my self care is as important as anything else if not more so. She's helped my deal with some deep seeded issues with death and going through my departed loved ones belongings.
I really like her and her methods. It’s very eye opening to understand myself and my pattern. She is able to walk me through my feelings and thoughts through her academic/scientific knowledge but also through natural human feelings and intuitions. I’m enjoying speaking to her a lot.
