About me

Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Mexico with over 15 years of experience working to assist clients reach their health and wellness goals. In my experience as a therapist I have worked with clients that had a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, disease management, complicated grief, psychotic and personality disorders, symptoms of posttraumatic stress, family relationships and career conflicts. In addition, I have experience supporting clients and their families with strategies to address a wide range of complex concerns including infidelity, adoption, marriage, divorce and finding and sustaining happiness.

My therapy style is interactive, direct, goal and solution focused. I utilize several evidenced based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Short Term Crisis Interventions. I have had the honor and privilege to work alongside first responders and have facilitated Critical Incident Stress Debriefings following the tragic loss of life and survivors grief and guilt. I believe in treating all persons, situations, and problems with sensitivity and compassion. My purpose is to work with you to explore your concerns, and transform those concerns into goals for treatment, develop the simple steps and measurable interventions to reach YOUR goals and move forward with finding YOUR life's path. I will work side by side to empower you to move forward through life's changes.

I believe in the recovery and resiliency of ALL persons regardless of mental health diagnosis, label or family and personal history. I am realist, but I still believe happiness is achievable and not some imaginary folklore. Anyone can accomplish anything as long as they have the desire, support and encouragement to take the first steps and move forward towards their own version of happiness.

Originally from Ohio, I have a Bachelors degree in Sociology with a Minor in Conflict Resolution from Kent State University and a Masters of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with family and caring for my rescued guinea pigs. I am happily married and together we have 5 children.

I am excited to work with you!
