About me

My name is Molly Esterl-Byrne, LCSW. I have been providing therapeutic services for the past 32 years in the Denver-metro area (Colorado). I graduated from the University of Denver with a Master of Social Work degree in 1988 and have been licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Colorado since 1991.

Throughout my career, I have so enjoyed working with clients who are courageously addressing problems and concerns and assisting them with finding solutions to improve the quality of their lives. I have extensive experience helping clients manage and overcome a variety of problems and concerns including depression; anxiety; bipolar; anger; trauma; grief and loss; relationship and family issues; life transitions; and chronic health issues.

My treatment philosophy is to provide care in a “client-centered” manner by focusing on the issues and concerns that are most important to you. Within a compassionate and therapeutic relationship, I utilize treatment interventions that highlight your unique skills and strengths and are congruent with your personal beliefs and values. It is of utmost importance to me that you feel your concerns are heard and understood and your ideas and perspectives are respected. The achievement of therapeutic goals will be the result of working together in a collaborative and cooperative manner. I strongly encourage your feedback throughout the therapeutic process to make sure that your treatment needs are being met.

On a personal note, although not a native, I have been a Colorado resident since 1976 when I moved as an adolescent with my family. I have been married for over 25 years and am the parent of an adult daughter. One of my greatest joys is spending time with my family including our dog, cat and daughter’s horse. In my free-time, I enjoy being active in the Colorado sunshine, reading a good novel, having “quiet time” for personal restoration, and sharing time with close friends.

Molly is a fantastic therapist! She listens, is patient, and asks thought provoking questions to help navigate through situations. I always leave the session feeling better than when I started!
