When times get hard, having someone in your corner can make all the difference. I approach therapy from a holistic, client-centered perspective. My goal is to help you navigate the challenges in your life by working together to make real, lasting changes for the better. My approach is at once compassionate and pragmatic, and my work with clients is never one-size-fits-all. I want to get to know who you are, what’s been working for you and what needs work. From there, we can work together to build a treatment plan tailored to your lifestyle and goals, on your timeline, with you in mind.
I received my master’s in clinical psychology in 2018 from Michigan School of Psychology in a program that focuses on humanistic, client-centered care. In my former life, I worked as a teacher and writer, after having received a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from the University of Montana in 2011. I did my undergraduate work at Wayne State University in Detroit, where I received a bachelor’s degree in English and Psychology, with a minor in film studies. My work and life history has taken me across the country, working with all ages and backgrounds on pursuits at once creative, intellectual and spiritual. I’m a trained meditator, having sat for multiple ten-day vipassana meditation retreats, a big believer in physical exercise and a creative weirdo at heart.
I specialize in working with all kinds of addiction, from drugs and alcohol to relationships and food—no dependence is too big or too small. What matters is how your crutch has affected the quality of your life and what we can do to fight back together. I’m also skilled at working with depression and anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, and any kind of stress around family issues, career and work/life balance.
My approach uses a combination of CBT-style interventions (learning practical skills to deal with stressful thoughts, feelings and behaviors), trauma-informed care (looking at how the past affects the future) and mindfulness to keep you grounded in the present.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Molly Laich. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I've recommended both betterhelp.com and Molly Laich in particular to many people. Molly is no nonsense and very straightforward while still having such a warm and compassionate manner. She's very intuitive and also funny.
Moly continues to be a rock for me. I'm having some personal issues, some marital challenges, and am also a therapist, so sometimes need to bounce clinical challenges off of another professional. She is all of that and more. I am grateful to have found Molly!
Molly is a really skilled therapist and someone I feel challenges me with the right questions. I struggle to bring up what I want to work on but Molly has a great sense of the direction to go and I really value my sessions with her.
Molly is a kind, understanding and relatable therapist. I’ve worked with a couple therapists in the past, but Molly is the one who made me feel most comfortable from the get go. I’ve been able to share my worries, stresses that I deal with at work and at home, as well as my dreams and motivations in life. Molly doesn’t just listen- she asks deep and thought-provoking questions, she shares her life experiences, she really tries to get to the bottom of whatever it is I bring up during our sessions. Needless to say, I most highly recommend Molly. I wish everyone had a therapist like her- the world may just be a better place!
Molly Wes respectful of my wish to communicate mainly through messaging, while also assuring me when I was ready to do a video chat that option was also available to be scheduled. She is responsive to messages, and has provided me with many great resources to use that have been helpful! I have already recommended better help to my friends because of my experience with her, and had I known I could recommend specific counselors, I would have recommended her directly.
I’m very happy with my therapist
Molly is a great listener, bounces back accurately what is being said/ shared. I appreciate her supportive listening.
Molly is awesome. She helped me through a tough time by listening and providing some helpful tips to get through. Would absolutely reconnect with her if needed.
Molly and I have a work in progress. I like that she sounds calm and experienced. I like that she is open to the texting messaging to communicate what I have concern about. It helps me stay calm and objective.
Molly is amazing. She listens attentively and let's you speak what is on your mind. She is kind and respectful but isn't discouraged from being blunt when it is necessary. Molly is open and honest which leads to trust and makes you feel comfortable saying everything that is on your mind. Her worksheets help you get a better understanding of yourself as well as informing herself on how she can better help your situation. She is a great!
Molly is great! I really connect with her!
Molly is the literal best therapist I could have asked for. She's so sweet, non judgmental, and insightful.
I have had a tough time staying consistent, but she has been willing to take me on time and again. It means a lot, and motivates me to be consistent.
She listens, comes up with a new solution every time, and she responds in a timely manner.
Molly has been very easy to talk to and understands my concerns. She works with me on strategies to learn and grow and overcome. I really like her and appreciate her!
I've only had 2 sessions with Molly but I have found her to be very responsive to my needs and intuitive about what I need in therapy. I've messaged several times and always got a spot in response in a short amount of time. I was hesitant to do on-line therapy at first but this has been a very positive experience and I like it more than I thought I would.
I have only had a few sessions with Molly but she has been great so far. She has helped me talk through some major issues that I have been dealing with for yours - providing insight when needed and asking the questions that really make me dig deeper. I would recommend her to anyone.
Molly is incredible. Has awesome advice and it’s only been about 3 weeks and I have felt more in perspective than ever. I appreciate how resourceful she is and how she can relate to her own life. She is personable and kind. Highly recommend!
It's only been a couple weeks, but so far I'm loving my "time" with Molly. With it being online therapy I was concerned that the counseling might be basic and broad and not person. So far it's been great. It really is like texting with a non judgmental, supportive friend.
Molly Laich makes me feel really comfortable and helps me understand what I am going through. Sometimes a big part of my distress is not understanding why I'm having such a hard time. It helps me to have someone who can give me tools to handle tough feelings and thoughts in an encouraging way. I'm still pretty new to better help, but so far my experience with everything has been positive.
I am very happy with Molly!
