My name is Monica Miller. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I have over 15 years of experience counseling children, parents, couples, and individuals from many different backgrounds. I received my Master's in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. As a transpersonal counselor, I view my clients's health through three different lenses: Emotional Health, Physical Health, and Spiritual Health. While we may not discuss these in each of your sessions, they are always a part of your experience. I have a great deal of experience working on personal growth, especially in the later stages of adolescence (ages 18-25). My familiarity in working with depression and anxiety allows me to help others in all stages of life.
My style is primarily client-centered with the emphasis on pulling on your strengths to encourage growth. I believe growth occurs in the context of a relationship. Therefore our relationship is extremely important to me. Gently and with humor, I will challenge you and support your growth. I do not believe I have the answers but instead hope to have the questions that will guide you to find the answers inside of yourself. I am a mirror, reflecting parts of yourself you may not see. Your job is to show up authentically. I look forward to getting to know you and working with you to accomplish your goals.

She feels personal, as if you’re friends in real life. She doesn’t stick to a script and/or say generic stuff. She’s supportive and friendly and when she needs to add critique and give advice, it doesn’t come across as aggressive in any way. There’s several helpful instances where I’ve grown in real life thanks to the small things she’s said. Definite recommendation.
Monica is insightful, thoughtful, and respectful. I value our correspondence, as it is very clear how much care she takes in responding to each of my concerns and providing support and ideas for moving forward. Meeting in person has also been rewarding, though the in-person meetings go so quickly! The emails are a wonderful supplement, and really make the service priceless.
Monica has been very helpful and patient, given me insight in areas where I needed expert advice. I always look forward to our sessions.
I am very happy with my therapist, she listens , understands and her counseling help had helped me a lot.
