Hi, my name is Monica McCombs (Winbush). I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Indiana and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I believe that people inherently have the tools to lead a successful, fulfilling life, but those tools are at times temporarily inaccessible due to emotional, situational, and cognitive influences. My goal is to lead you through the process of identifying such influences and working diligently to overcome them.
I specialize in working with adolescents who struggle to cope with the intensity of their emotions leading to behavioral difficulties including substance use, self-harm, suicidal ideations, aggression, family conflict, and peer conflict. I also work with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, substance use, relational difficulties, and life stressors.
At times it may feel as if you are alone in coping with your emotional struggles or in seeking support for those you love. I invite you to allow me to embark on the road to recovery and a life worth living with you. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

The most knowledgeable counselor I’ve ever had! Feels like talking to a very intelligent older sister. Teaches me SO many helpful tips on how to deal with my anxiety.
Trust Monica's expertise. She really knows what she's doing, and I learn important things from her in every session. A total pro - warm and patient as well as brilliant!
I really like speaking with Monica, I feel like she really listens to me and understands what I am going through. I just started seeing her and already she has given me tools to cope and adjust my thinking.
Monica is a great listener. Since I have started my therapy sessions with her I have noticed a change within myself. She has given me useful tools that I was able to use immediately. She validates my emotions and experiences. She makes me think outside of myself to further understand my feelings, emotions and past experiences.
