About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado with 4 years of post-graduate experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including issues surrounding life transitions, anxiety, depression, parenting issues, family conflict, relationship issues, and social difficulties. I have worked as a mental health therapist in outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, inpatient, and school settings.
As a counselor, I work to create a safe, welcoming space, free of judgment, where clients can come and authentically be themselves. I listen intently to my clients and partner with them to help them evaluate the struggles they may be facing. We work together to set goals that will create healing in their lives, and we walk towards those goals at a pace with which they are comfortable. I cater to each client in my approach to the issues they may be facing, and frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy while working from a person-centered, strengths-based, and systems perspective.
I moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado from Memphis in 2014, and since then my husband and I have joyfully welcomed our son into the world. We also live with our labradoodle, Dundee. My interests include hiking, skiing, yoga, getting to know people from all walks of life, and taking advantage of everything that living in the mountains has to offer. I especially enjoy working with clients to help them discover and strengthen the resources they have within themselves to walk towards wholeness and healing, and I feel privileged to be able to walk with my clients on this journey.
