Muriel Barton, LCSW
About me
My lifelong goal as a mother, minister and for the past 19 years as a licensed clinical social worker has been to provide an atmosphere of caring and acceptance, where individuals can reach their potential and lighten their burdens, or at the least make them more bearable. I respect each client because I know that change can feel overwhelming, and at times confusing as often we are not sure what path to take to reach our desired goal. I endeavor to make sure clients feel heard and understood, and in that atmosphere I help them to find the tools they need in order to create the next steps in their lives. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process , and help clients to uncover or better utilize their strengths, and to see problems as opportunities for change.
