About Me
On the inside, you are confused, hurting, and you don't like to feel this way. You feel free when you become intoxicated, binged, yell at those closest to you, sometimes, you find yourself alone staring and thinking. You feel something, you are just not able to say exactly what's bothering you. The more you try to pretend everything is okay, the more you see yourself losing your grip on things around you. You tell yourself, things will get better, you put your best smile on for the world, it continues to get worse.
All individuals and relationships have unique challenges and strengths. My goals is to help you focus on your strengths and work on those things that threatened the vitality of it. The difficulties we experience, and despite what we may have been taught to believe, are sometimes really our friend.
In this Collaborative therapy, which means I take the stance that you are the expert about your lived experiences and my teacher. It is an invitation that I am willing to learn and participate with you in your story. I want to learn and understand your perspective and preferences, your lived experience and the meanings and understandings associated with your lived experience,s your future goals by emphasizing the whole person.
My therapeutic goal is to convey to you that you are valued as a unique human being. That you have something worthy of saying and hearing. This means, I will respect and honor the way you choose to tell your story, what parts you prefer to share and the knowledge you desire or wish to convey. My goal is to engage in a dialogue with you not a monologue; yet, not expect certain types of answers and information, make judgments or attempt to direct your answers to what I believe they should be.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Nadirah Muhammad. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Nadirah has been a big help to me. Her support is a blessing and her words of encouragement have been very positive.
It's easy to talk to her, she offers time to address other things that we may not have planned to speak about that day. She also checks in with me at times and I appreciate it.
She’s wonderful!
I've had a few counselors with another platform and did not have a great experience. I either would not have a timely response or didn't get practical tools. I appreciate that Nadirah has a mix of tools, worksheets, examples, and provides her own experiences as well.
I look forward to speaking with Nadirah. She helps me get out of my head and back to reality. She supports and truly understands my concerns. She supports me with references and attachments that can be utilized any time I need it. My mental health has been good since beginning my session with her.
Nadirah has been very helpful. Her commentary is insightful and she provides tools that are very applicable to the situation without going over board.
She listened. She identified issues quickly and offered effective tools for handling tough conversations and emotional hiccups.

I’ve only had a few sessions and Nadirah has always been supportive and helpful. She checks in with me frequently just to see how I’m doing. She has been wonderful!
Very helpful and would definitely recommend her
I appreciate my counselor checking in with me once a week since I’ll usually only feel inclined to message her when something goes terribly wrong and I feel out of control. Her messaging me to check in reminds me that she’s there and that I do have someone to go to now that I can trust and confide in
