About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with dual master's degrees in psychology and social work. I have been in the mental health field since 1993 and have experience working with clients dealing with several issues including depression, anxiety, medical/health issues, social issues, family, relationship and parenting challenges, military and veteran issues, and trauma (including abuse and neglect).

My approach tends to be client centered and relaxed. I view the client-therapist relationship as a partnership where we walk together on this journey to discover the tools and assist the client in learning to utilize them so that the client can live a happier, more fulfilling and successful life. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, functional family therapy, solution focused therapy and tools from motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care in my sessions. Drawing from these modalities, I am able to shape each client's treatment plan to fit their situation according to their needs, challenges, strengths, and personalities; by doing this it allows for a unique therapeutic partnership that sets us up for success.

I am happy you are here! It takes courage to ask for help, and you've taken that first important step - congratulations! I look forward to working with you.

Nancy has been very understanding and patient with me during our sessions, and is an excellent listener. She has been very flexible with planning our sessions, especially as there is a huge time difference between us, and has been very conscientious in organising and planning around my schedule. I would recommend Nancy to anyone!

I have found in Nancy the right balance of professionalism, understanding, relatability, patience, humanity and knowledge that I need to feel comfortable enough to be honest enough to actually make progress and want to keep coming back to talk with her. She is very present and aware in the moment. She seems to me to be a good anchor in a storm.

I feel that with her help and feedback that I am already on a path through my issues to make some real, tangible changes in my life.

I am very grateful I found Nancy at this time in my life.
