Hello, my name is Dr. Nancy Morritt I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I would like to welcome you and commend you for making this decision to better your life. I have 29 years experience in private practice working with both children and adults in a variety of areas, some of which include depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse related issues, relationship issues and parenting concerns. I also spent four years as a consultant with the Department of Defense working with active duty military personnel on military bases across the United States and overseas. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral, mindfulness and humanistic theories as well as others that are individualized to the client. I view counseling as a collaboration between client and therapist and I believe that the therapeutic relationship is very important to the overall healing process. As your therapist I will offer to you a safe place where you feel heard, respected and understood, but also feel challenged to make the changes and growth you desire. Regardless of what you are dealing with I hope you find this to be a warm, nonjudgmental and nurturing environment. It is my desire to walk this journey with you and make your therapeutic process one that is worthwhile and valuable to you during each step of your healing process.
