About me

Hello, my name is Dr. Nancy Morritt I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I would like to welcome you and commend you for making this decision to better your life. I have 29 years experience in private practice working with both children and adults in a variety of areas, some of which include depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse related issues, relationship issues and parenting concerns. I also spent four years as a consultant with the Department of Defense working with active duty military personnel on military bases across the United States and overseas. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral, mindfulness and humanistic theories as well as others that are individualized to the client. I view counseling as a collaboration between client and therapist and I believe that the therapeutic relationship is very important to the overall healing process. As your therapist I will offer to you a safe place where you feel heard, respected and understood, but also feel challenged to make the changes and growth you desire. Regardless of what you are dealing with I hope you find this to be a warm, nonjudgmental and nurturing environment. It is my desire to walk this journey with you and make your therapeutic process one that is worthwhile and valuable to you during each step of your healing process.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Nancy Morritt. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

The only reason I stay with BetterHelp is due to Dr. Morritt, who is knowledgeable, kind, and delivers compassionate care with regard to cultural norms, she is culturally sensitive as a therapist which is rare. I don’t know where I would be with my mental stability without her expertise, I have tried other therapists on here, no one holds a candle to Dr. Nancy. I highly recommend her and her valuable expertise, she is kind, compassionate and quite resourceful

I have been seeing Dr.Morritt for three weeks now and she has helped me work through a lot of past traumas and helping me achieve self realizations and change my thought processes and values that were hurting me subconsciously. I never thought I would need therapy but I realized it was time to reach out to a professional and seek help and I am so beyond happy I got connected with Dr. Morritt. I feel totally comfortable talking to her about anything and I feel like I can finally open up and say things that I have wanted to say and work thru but never felt I had the right person to say them to until now. She is respectful and fun and gives amazing insight.

Dr. Morrit is an amazing counselor. I have had counselings with some different counselors over twenty years, and she is the best. She is always supportive, kind , and being there for me. Giving me insightful answers, questions, and good resources. She always replies me without delay. And also she gives me a message when I can’t reply her with different reasons. I am so lucky to have her as my counselor.
