I am a Family Therapist Licensed in New York State with 8 years work experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of stressors such as depression, anxiety, abuse ,bipolar disorder and family dynamic issues. I am able to build on an individual's strengths while working with their personal weaknesses in order to stabilize their emotions; So they feel happier!
I am trained in evidence-based practices but I prefer a less abrasive and more psychodynamic approach. I believe that getting to the root of the issue at hand is crucial in order to treat it.
I am warm and compassionate. I deeply care about each client I work with.
Looking forward to working with you!

Naomi is very personable and engaging
After working with two different counselors, I ended up cancelling my membership but had a few days left so I decided to give it one more go. I ended up working with Naomi and kept my subscription for 2+ weeks. She took all the negative feedback I had said about my previous counselors to heart and made sure to talk with me, work with me and check in with me exactly like I had said I wished my previous ones would. There were some days where her and I could message back and forth for almost an hour. Although online counseling for me didn't benefit me(only this time due to my situation being a little more intense than I had though and realized i need to try face to face), she made my entire experience so much better. When I say that she checked in on me, she literally checked in on me if I didn't answer and followed up with a previous conversation. She would bring up things I had said in the beginning and ask me how those were impacting my current state of mind. She is very kind and if I had the chance to work with her face to face I absolutely would. She is curious, concerned and empathetic. She listens and really does seem to care. If you are looking for someone with a warm heart and a welcoming presence, I highly suggest Naomi. She doesn't push you when you say you don't want to be pushed. I understand some counselors think they need to push to get the best result but she really let me take my time and really took into consideration all of my thoughts- and trust me, I have a lot! I always looked forward to seeing if I had a notification from Naomi, she is basically the pen-pal friend with experience/training on how to help you feel better.
Take the chance and give some effort and you won't be let down. I look forward to finding my face to face counselor but I do think I will be back and hope to be able to work with Naomi again in the future when I get myself to a point where online therapy can truly benefit me.
I've been working with Naomi for a short time, a month or so. She has effectively introduced me to simple habits that have really organized my mind and allowed me to manage my own internal emotions and thoughts rationally. I had my reservations about better help but with people like this the service is well worth it.
