I'm a bilingual English-Bengali-speaking psychotherapist licensed in New York State with over 20 years of experience. I worked with individuals and families from ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse backgrounds with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, domestic violence, anger management, parenting problems, OCD, and ADHD.
There are times in life when everything is going well, then suddenly comes to a stop. That’s the time you may feel lost or stuck for many reasons- whether you’re having difficult life events, life transitions, or decisions; are in a troubled marriage or relationship, or struggling to discover yourself. Lost is when people call a therapist. It’s after they have tried everything: waiting for things to get better, talking to friends or relatives, or reading self-help books. When you're stuck, getting better requires a different set of skills, a revised set of thoughts and feelings, and the right approach. This is what I aid people to discover – or rediscover.
My approach is collaborative and proactive, committed to using our time together to help you enhance your inner coping resources and access a greater sense of happiness, self-discovery, and meaningful change. I work hard during the session to help people feel safe, feel heard, and accepted for who they are while providing them feedback and support.
Seeing a therapist -- this is not an easy step you’re considering. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first step towards change. We all have answers within ourselves, but sometimes we need a guide to help us find them. If you are ready to take that step, I'm here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Nasir Ahmed. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I have changed two therapists earlier and Mr Nasir Ahmed is the third. I found he has patience and time for his patients. He has experiences, expertise and one can discuss openly with his/her problems. I have improved a lot with his very simple suggestions and I shall continue with him till I neutralize my existing problems.
He’s kind and listens well. He gives digestible goals to help you get to where you want to be.
He is an excellent therapist. He listens attentively. He is helping me a lot. I would highly recommend him.
Nasir has a lot of valuable knowledge and finds a good way of offering support & interesting insights and tips.
