Natalie David

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social work from NYU with several years of experience in various mental health settings including hospitals, schools and private practice. I have worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds, including inpatient psychiatric hospital at the New York Hospital Payne Whitney Clinic, Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic, outpatient neurology hospital setting, and also in private practice. I treat clients seeking help for a variety of symptoms including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, PTSD, relationship struggles, life transitions, and ADHD. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process that can only be experienced in a safe and trusting relationship, so finding the "right fit" therapist is important. I utilize different treatment approaches depending upon the needs of each client, but I usually incorporate CBT as I believe it is useful in many cases. Since thoughts often affect behavior and feelings, I work with clients to identify thoughts that lead to negative behaviors and have long lasting effects on their lives. The ultimate goals of treatment are always to find a more healthy and meaningful existence, and to develop coping skills to utilize through a lifetime. I look forward to helping my clients find their best selves and live their best lives through therapy and self discovery.

I've only been working with Natalie David for a few weeks, but already I feel SO MUCH BETTER! We've been having sessions over the phone and I've found that I feel a lot more comfortable getting counseling this way than having to meet in person. I guess I feel safer behind the phone as opposed to "on the couch". Natalie has zeroed in on just what has been causing me unhappiness, anxiety, stress, and depression and we are actively working on that through cognitive behavioral therapy. She has a calm, soothing voice and she is infinitely patient. She is also completely understanding and makes me feel so much better about myself.
I went through some bad stuff as a child and she has taught me that it wasn't my fault. I have been blaming myself wrongly all these years. She always starts and ends our sessions on time and she remembers what we last talked about. She also follows up promptly. It's so nice to have this platform and be able to be completely open and honest with someone so I can finally tackle my issues, as I just can't afford to see a therapist in the traditional way at this time. Natalie is such a good therapist that if she ever leaves this platform, I would find a way to afford her services so I could continue therapy with her.

I'm blown away by how easily I connected with Natalie and how much she's helped me, even in the short amount of time we've been working together. She sets attainable goals with me, offers insightful and helpful counsel without admonishing or invalidating you, and she really knows what to listen for so that you can tackle your goals more effectively. She's everything I needed going into counseling and I feel very secure in her expertise and genuine care. I would recommend her to anyone.

Has worked out great so far. Like your company name, this system can work for some people like myself and its a better way to get counseling when needed and with someone very experienced in the area needed.
