Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a firm believer that the client is the expert when it comes to their life, and I am just here as a sounding board to help the client work though their challenges and emotional struggles. I think that clients have all the answers or solutions they need; all the counselor does is listen and ask the right questions. I subscribe to choice theory, and utilize a variety of approaches including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive processing therapy. Lastly, I approach challenges from a solution-focused perspective. I also believe that everyone is different and require different needs. Therefore, we will work together to create a client specific treatment plan with your goals in mind.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in applied behavioral analysis and my Master’s degree is in mental health counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, as well as a nationally board certified counselor. I have worked in an acute psychiatric hospital for almost 3 years and now am working in a private practice setting. I am well versed in crisis interventions and verbal de-escalation. I have worked with adults and adolescents. I specialize in working with clients with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, sleep disorders, problem solving skills, and trauma. If you have any other questions about me or my credentials, feel free to ask.
Remember, it takes courage to recognize there is a problem and to ask for help. If you are ready to take the first step in getting help, I am ready to support and empower you in taking that second step. I am excited to learn more about you and start working with you towards a plan to feeling better and living your best life.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Natalie DeJarnette. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I'm beyond thankful for Natalie!! She is very good at her job and I would most definitely recommend her to others! She is very thoughtful and understanding when I'm having issues of any kind and she is always sending me new info to read or workbooks to work through! Not at all what I expected when first joining better help! Very grateful for the site as well as Natalie!! ✓
Natalie is so comfortable to talk to, just like talking to a good friend. But she comes at me with so much wisdom, put so simply that it blows my mind. I have never felt better matched with a therapist and she has helped guide me through so much.
Natalie is so nice and has really helped me through major things in life.
This lady… amazing.
She is very respectful, thoughtful, and insightful. I have become more self aware about several things i've never noticed before having had chats with her. I definitely recommend choosing to speak with her.
Natalie is a wonderful counselor and listener. She responds quickly, and I really feel like she hears me. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like virtual counseling, but it has been an absolute blessing to be able to schedule sessions at night. Even though I have only had a few sessions with Natalie, I am so thankful for her patience, compassion, and understanding.
I really like how she doesn’t sugar coat it. She also sees my spouses side and how he feels
Natalie has helped me tremendously.....and I know I’m a handful. It may not seem like a lot but every minute she takes time to talk to me helps me and I truly appreciate her. Thanks to her, I have referred 4 people to BetterHelp!
Natalie was amazing to talk to. I really enjoyed having her as my counselor because she genuinely cares about her clients. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!
Natalie has been nothing but amazing throughout this entire process. I appreciate everything she has done and continues to do to help me better myself. Would recommend to anyone, you won’t regret it!
