About Me

Welcome and thank you for taking the time out to learn a little about me! I am a Licensed Individual Clinical Social Worker in the District of Columbia and I also hold current licenses in North Carolina (LCSW) and Maryland (LCSW-C). I have 10 years of clinical and social work experience. I have extensive experience working with and providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I have provided services in an array of environments such as schools, community agencies, inpatient and outpatient hospitals, residential facilities, and substance abuse program. Some of those mental health issues I have addressed include anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem issues, PTSD, abuse and trauma, emotional/behavioral issues, relationship issues, grief, stress management, and other life transitions and challenges.

I provide an empathetic, non-judgmental, and safe environment where you can learn how to overcome your struggles and develop effective coping skills. With therapeutic strategies at the forefront of promoting positive coping skills, I use different strategies and techniques to introduce a safe space for self-reflection, dialogue, skill building and education. Individuals working with me may be directed in the use of different creative therapy techniques which include expressive therapy. Along with dialogue, these artistic and creative modalities foster self expression, dialogue, self awareness, creative thinking, and correlation identity. Therapeutic approaches that I use during therapy include Client Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Artistic Expression, and Psycho-education.

Have you been overwhelmed with life's stressors? Are you dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, trauma or other triggers that have left you feeling confused or down? You do not have to deal with it alone! I can assist you while you work through this process. I strive to make a change in the way people cope with daily stressors, while embracing the creative process. This enables them to view their situations or stressors in a different way and implement more enjoyable strategies to resolve them. I make it a habit to get people to think outside the box, which will lead to their own creative thinking.

For some people, seeking help can be scary and uncomfortable. I applaud you for taking the first step! I believe that if you do not feel uncomfortable during the process, then you are not experiencing growth and progress. I am here to help and support you every step of the way! I look forward to joining you on your journey of change and growth!

Natasha is very encouraging. She is helping me to engage in better self-talk and build confidence in my capabilities and worth as a human being among other roles in my life.
