About me
Life can feel like too much sometimes.
Maybe you're carrying anxiety that won’t quiet down. Maybe you're stuck in cycles that leave you feeling exhausted or disconnected. Or maybe you’ve been through things that changed you, and now you’re trying to make sense of who you are and how to move forward. If any of that sounds familiar, I want you to know you’re not alone and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.
I’m a licensed therapist in New Mexico and Texas with experience supporting adults who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, trauma, relationship struggles, and self-esteem challenges. My approach is rooted in compassion and collaboration. I meet you where you are, and we work together to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected.
I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered practices. That means we’ll explore your inner world, develop skills to manage emotions and thoughts, and focus on what really matters to you...not just what’s “supposed” to matter.
You don’t have to perform or prove anything in therapy. You get to show up as you are, even if that feels messy. This is a space where we can unpack what’s been weighing on you and begin building something new.
You’re allowed to take up space. You’re allowed to heal. And you don’t have to do it alone.
Let’s take that first step together.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Nichole Esparza. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
My first session with Nicole was very positive. I left the session feeling heard and understood. She gave me the clinical names of certain behaviors I have and explained how those behaviors might be associated with my ADHD. And what I appreciated most was that she left all of the “Well why don’t you try…” out of our discussion. My last couple of counselors did this to me and I find it very unhelpful. I get the feeling that Nicole will help me identifying my own strategies for dealing with complications created by my ADHD. I’m a problem solver, so this approach works best for me.

Dr. Nichole Esparza has been a guiding light with a current situation that I am experiencing at work. Stress and daily challenges seem to be getting worse and out of hand. Talking through my anxiety and stress with her has been very helpful. She listens attentively and has provided me with some insight and tools to improve my mental health and ease my anxiety. I definitely recommend her.
