About me

Hello! If you are reading this, then I think it goes without saying you are looking for help or support with something. Perhaps you are having a hard time connecting with or trusting others. Maybe you are having a hard time telling others how you feel about things or are overwhelmed by tasks others seem to handle with ease. It could be you are feeling stuck, unhappy, lonely, or worn down. Perhaps you recently lost someone or something and are having a hard time saying goodbye. Whatever your reason for being here, I applaud you for having the courage to take the first step towards positive change. Life isn't always easy and I believe everyone deserves support and help in navigating and coping with challenges life throws at us. Seeking counseling is a meaningful decision to make so let me tell you a little about myself and how I may be able to help or support you in your journey:

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Maine as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and Certified Clinician Supervisor (CCS), who has been providing counseling services to individuals since 2015 after receiving my Master in Social Work degree from the University of New England in 2014. I have worked in both residential and outpatient settings, working with people from all different backgrounds who are struggling with a wide variety of challenges although much of my experience has been with people managing anxiety, trauma, depression, substance use, and the challenges of parenting. I consider my presence to be attentive, warm, and down-to-earth. The feedback I have received from others is that I am caring and nonjudgmental, yet honest and direct. I will work with you through whatever difficulties you are facing and help you learn more about yourself and the way you interact with the world by drawing from various therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I will assist you in discovering underlying issues, free up blocks, and heal old wounds as well as provide you with tools that you can use outside of counseling to build resilience or lessen anxiety. Through all this, you are my priority – you and your story, needs, and temperament. How else am I going to help you grow and become your best self unless I listen to you!

Thank you for your interest and courage in reaching out for help!
