About me

Greetings! Thank you for taking the time to explore my page. I am a Board Certified Diplomate and Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience providing therapy to military personnel and their families. I have extensive experience working in a variety of settings globally. My work has focused on treating clients with a variety of issues, to include anxiety, depression, addiction, intimate partner violence, adjustment difficulties, trauma and relationship stressors. I also work with clients impacted by military life and the challenges faced by those who serve. I have experience working with a diverse group of clients, to include the LGBTQ+ population, children, adults, urban professionals. Though my background and experience encompasses work across all age ranges, my current practice focuses on the adult population.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and my Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University in New York City. I am currently a doctoral candidate at Southern Connecticut State University.

I start therapy by building a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients. Building trust is essential to making progress in therapy. My approach to therapy is diverse and aims to meet my clients' needs. From supportive therapy to motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy, I cater the approach to optimize results for each client and each area of concern. I am a firm believer in addressing the client where he or she is and moving forward at the client's comfort and pace. I believe we all have strengths that can be enhanced so that we overcome temporary setbacks. I am a firm believer that we are all the experts in our own lives. I encourage my clients to provide feedback along the way and empower them to take me along their journey while I provide guidance where indicated.

Congratulations on taking the first step to self-improvement! I look forward to working with you!
