About me

Welcome, and congratulations on taking the first step to living your best life! My name is Nicole, and I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Wisconsin. I have 9 years of experience working as a therapist in a hospital setting. I have worked with clients with a wide range of mental health concerns including, depression, anxiety, self-esteem or self-worth, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, and self-harm. I approach all clients with a trauma-focused lens and specialize in the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress symptoms, including those who have experienced physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. Are you struggling with a pattern of unhealthy and unsatisfying relationships or recovering from a painful breakup or divorce? I can help you heal and create the space for healthier, more satisfying relationships in the future. Are you struggling with the depression, anxiety, and isolation that comes with navigating a global pandemic? Relief is possible from those symptoms as well!

As a counselor my lifelong goal has been to be a partner in helping humans heal and move past the mental health obstacles holding them back from a joyful existence. I strive to provide a safe environment for my clients to achieve their goals, with an aura of cultural humility. My approach is person-centered and combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and psychodynamic counseling concepts. I utilize Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). We will work together to tailor your treatment to meet whatever your needs may be!

Congratulations on having the courage to take the first step to developing healthy coping skills and creating a more joyful life. I am here to walk beside and empower you to make the changes you have been yearning for!

I cannot wait to begin the valuable work of healing with you!

Nicole is awesome!! She uses principles of CBT/DBT but has an unconventional way of doing therapy that works really well for me after struggling to find a therapist I connect with for a long time. She’s caring and thoughtful but great at boundaries, too.
