About Me

I am a daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, step-parent, and partner. I enjoy hiking, camping, nature, and reading. I went to Ferris State University for my Bachelors of Social Work then took two years off to get real world experience before completing my Masters degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. I have over eight years of experience working in multiple different fields from outpatient therapy to Partial Hospitalization Programs, to Inpatient Psychiatric hospitals. My core modality is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but I like to pull from different theories and techniques to best individualize the therapeutic process for each individual I am working with. It is a team effort and I believe starting where the individual is at and looking at the whole of an individual helps prioritize and focus on the issues the individual may have. I have considerable experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, addiction, bipolar disorders, and OCD.

Nicole is an exceptional listener and is very knowledgeable about both LGBTQ+ needs and experience as well as OCD concerns. She was/is particularly helpful in exploring personal identity and navigating the challenges of trans identity and experience.
