My name is Nicole Umscheid and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California with fifteen years of experience working with individuals, couples, groups and families. My passion is to help people live their best lives and to help people create meaningful and lasting changes in their lives and relationships. I have worked with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, communication and relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges and intellectual disabilities. I have extensive training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Client Centered Therapies.
My counseling style is eclectic , warm and genuine as I strive to meet my clients where they are at, and tailor my approach to best meet my clients needs. I strive to come along side my clients and equip them with the tools and resources to empower them to create meaningful and lasting changes in their lives and relationships.
