My name is Dr. Nikita Hay and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Hawai'i. Welcome and thank you for taking time to learn more about the services I can provide for you and your family. I have treated children, adolescents, and adults for several years in a variety of settings, including out-patient, residential, as well as locked facilities. This means that I have experience working with a broad range of individuals who have diverse clinical issues such as stress-related disorders, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, and personality disorders.
As a clinician, I typically approach therapeutic treatment with a person-centered, holistic style. I do my best to recognize where you are right now and provide support so you can reach your desired purpose. My passion for rehabilitation began at an early age as I was raised with loved ones who battled mental illness. Therefore, I know firsthand that the path to mental health can be challenging and exasperating. Nonetheless, please know that when you are ready to take the first steps toward change, I am here to assist you.
If you choose to begin working together, you may find the following information helpful. I am available for messaging and phone sessions, based on your preference. I check messages several times throughout the day, everyday, between the hours of 8am and 8pm HST. I may not be able to respond to your messages right away, but I typically respond within 24 hours. I look forward to working with you.
I apologize for any inconvenience, but I am not currently accepting new subscribers.

Easy to talk to. Able to get through problems.
She’s great! Highly recommended. Also, just a lovely person to speak with. Very understanding and thoughtful of my needs as someone new to therapy.
Dr. Hay is extremely helpful and kind. She helps me to understand things in a perspective that is helping me to move forward. I’m really grateful to know I have her support and can depend on her to share her wisdom with me.
Nikita is very kind, and I can trust her with anything I share with her.
I really love Dr. Hay. Not only is she responsive, and timely in the responses, she’s also extremely knowledgeable and supportive as my counselor. I would highly recommend her if you are looking to work on any emotional disorders. She helps me with my anxiety issues and her quick responses I think are strategic in helping me not panic while I wait to hear from her. Highly recommend.
I've only ever spoken to a professional in person so I was skeptical of trying this. But Dr. Hay is there whenever I need to get something off my chest as well as to provide advice or just help me answer my own questions. She helps me put things into perspective when I may be too far into my head. My experience has been great and I can feel the help and support making positive changes in my journey.
Dr Hay is very understanding and supportive. I would certainly recommend her and Better Help to others. In the space of only a couple of weeks, I have managed to curb my anxiety and talk to somebody trusting about the issues causing my relationships to breakdown with my partner and family. Best thing is I can write what I'm thinking at any time and get it out of my head so I'm not stressing anymore. It is a huge help and relief to have the counselor in my pocket whenever needed
