About me

The foundation of my professional practice lies in the passion that I have for helping others. I chose to become a Marriage and Family Therapist because it fits who I am at my core. The education, experience and credentials I possess are simply the icing on the cake. Whatever your challenges or the pain that brought you here, I will support you in your journey to a better place! I believe that the therapeutic process is a collaborative one, and it takes both of us to facilitate the changes desired.

I've worked in the field of mental and emotional health for the last decade. I have experience with a wide variety of age groups and populations who need help with lots of different struggles. My expertise lies in the areas of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, addictions of various forms, and general family and relationship issues. I also have experience with couple's therapy and I've worked with survivors of numerous types of trauma.

I received my Master's degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and I'm currently licensed in California. Additionally, I'm a Board Certified Art Therapist, recognized by the Art Therapy Credentials Board. The creative approach, in whichever form that takes for my clients individually, is one that allows for many different avenues of healing to occur.

While I have a variety of modalities I can use (CBT, ACT, DBT, Mindfulness-based practices, as examples), I consider each client uniquely. Together we will find what works for the relief of your current symptoms!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Nikki Eby. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Nikki is both compassionate and an excellent therapist. She has the ability to assess what the issues are and get right to the heart of the matter and at the same time provide you with much space to express your concerns and feelings. From the first session I felt a connection with Nikki, something that usually takes me a while as I try to establish trust. Very pleased with my progress.
