About Me

Hello, my name is Nikki and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Utah with over 9 years of experience. I earned my Master of Social Work with an emphasis in mental health counseling at the University of Utah. I have had the privilege of working with clients in the hospital setting in an inpatient unit, in an outpatient counseling clinic, in private practice, and in a medical clinic as a care manager assessing clients and connecting them to needed resources. I have a passion for helping individuals through a wide range of challenges and empower people to improve their current situations. My experience in working with clients with anxiety, depression, life transitions and grief is extensive. I enjoy working with people who are in the process of making changes in their life, professional or personal, and assisting them in reaching their potential. I am also passionate at helping individuals work through the negative self talk that can hold one back.

My therapeutic approach is individualized to each persons difficulty and goals with evidence-based treatment. I have worked extensively in the solution-focused approach which often yields results in a timely matter. In therapy I believe that one of the most important aspects is the rapport, trust and the level of comfort for the client. It is not easy to seek help, and I respect that process. I seek to provide a comfortable, non-judgmental, open, and helpful environment by which you can reach your goals. I recognize that one of the reasons therapy works is because as a clinician I can provide an outside perspective to help you work through a difficult situation and motivate you to reach the changes you seek. I would be honored to hear your story, and work with you. I look forward to joining you in your journey.

Nikki is amazing! When I talk with her I feel validated, but I am also asked to challenge my beliefs. This week she’s invited me to see how and where the main human emotions show up in my daily life and I’ve lived the exploration. I always leave our session with things on my mind and some encouraging things to work on.

I feel so fortunate to have been matched up with Nikki! Our sessions have felt comfortable and natural. We've been able to discuss a range of issues, and her guidance and strategies have helped me make real progress toward addressing them. I've greatly appreciated and benefitted from her insight, professionalism, and flexibility. I can't recommend her enough!

Nikki has been the perfect balance to help me begin my journey. She listens, shares thoughts and isn’t afraid to offer positive ‘push back’ in helping me find to my own answers. I couldn’t have been better matched, if I’d searched for Nikki myself!

Nikki Manson is an excellent counselor and Better Help in one amazing resource! My sessions are productive and have helped me make some huge changes to my life. I am starting to feel like I can get back to happy and become a better person than I was before. Better Help has made getting therapy possible for me. Anxiety, scheduling issues, and insurance conflicts have made getting therapy a struggle and impossible in the past. Better Help is affordable, flexible, and easy to use. I am grateful for this experience.

Nikki is fantastic! I had my doubts about this type of therapy medium, but I’m delighted to report what an amazing experience I’ve had thus far and recommend it to my family and friends.

Nikki is great. I haven't been working with her for very long, but already, she's provided the perfect insight to what's been affecting me and I feel so much better about the direction of my life now.

I feel like Nikki really cares and wants to help me get better. I needed someone like her in my life to help me feel like someone cares about me. She has great techniques to work on anxiety, and she is able to get to the root of a problem by dissecting what I am telling her.

Nikki is amazing and she knows how to respond in a timely manner when I’ve got quite a bit to work through. She isn’t pushy when I’m taking my time to apply the strategies in real life!

Nikki has been amazing. I have never met or worked with anyone else who was able to dissect what I share with her nor have I ever met anyone who showed me some of my blind spots until I began working with Nikki. I would recommend her above and over.
