Nina Jackson, LPC
About me
I have over 20 years of experience in the counseling field which includes school counselor, academic advising and mental health therapist. The primary population I serve are teens, young adults/adults as well as all types of families. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, anger management, grief, trauma, relationship issues, and parenting problems, I also specialize in life skills development, goal setting and career development.
My counseling style is to empower the client to take ownership of therapy. Clients are challenged to be honest with their thoughts and feelings as this is a NO JUDGEMENT ZONE. My overall therapeutic approach is eclectic, interventions are utilized based on the issue at hand. The primary therapeutic interventions are client-center and cognitive behavior which includes relationship exploration and self-reflection exercises. The treatment plan is created with the client's input related to their specific needs.
I am excited that you took the first step towards self-improvement! The outcome of therapy is based on the energy you put in. I look forward toward going on the journey with you.
