Nirmala Jagannath, LCSW, is a psychotherapist and a clinical social worker, licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Nirmala is a founder of TransitionEase, an organization that provides mental health services and advocacy to adults and families in San Diego and surrounding areas.
Nirmala has had several years of extensive experience at inpatient/outpatient hospital programs, like Scripps Hospital, San Luis Rey Hospital and Tri City, providing services for patients with mental and emotional challenges. Her broad experience at her private practice includes providing services for depression/anxiety, post traumatic trauma, stress, immigration trauma, Womens issues, LGBTQ issues, Individual and Relationship issues.
She has received MA and MSW degrees that have allowed her to focus on her interests that include women’s issues, aging and caregiving, inequality and social mobility across cultures and countries. She is a proponent of existential psychotherapy and integrative mental health.
