About me
My name is Nneka Hartfield and as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am a strong believer in collaborating with my clients to help them create and accomplish their goals. Whether it is dealing with depression or getting back to normalcy after trauma, we will work together to build your very own Life Tool Kit. You may not know it, but you already have the tools to succeed inside of you. I want to help you find them, use them, and put them away for a rainy day.
Some of my areas of expertise are in addiction, depression, trauma, anxiety, and sexual trauma. Over the years, I have been privileged to work with a number of individuals and families looking to increase their overall happiness and find stability. The counseling approach I employ is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Meaning, our thoughts and behaviors impact our lives and/or experiences in a BIG way. By developing new thoughts and behaviors, I believe we can reach each goal together.

She has really helped me these last couple of weeks. It has helped me better understand how to communicate issues I may have.

So for months I have talked Nneka Hartfield and she has a way of pulling things out of me. Not once has she judged me. She has helped me be less critical and gentle with myself and see the good in me and improve the rest. She really has been a God-send

I think she validated my concerns and my emotions without playing into them. For instance, I have a tendency to wallow until someone shows me the bright side. But doing so without validating feelings is a disaster for my well-being. She seems to understand where I come from and kind of tilts my path forward.
