About Me

Hello there and welcome! You’re here and you are taking the first step towards a more fulfilling life. It’s not a mistake that you’re right here, right now. Something brought you to this platform at this time in your life and you’re exactly where you need to be in this moment. Let’s discover what that is and see if this feels like a good fit.

My name is Noel Curry and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I’ve been a therapist for over 5 years and have worked with many different people of different ages, genders, races and backgrounds. The majority of my work has been with children, teens and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, peer and parent-child relationships, self-esteem, and identity issues. I am here to be a support and help you in your journey right where you are.

My therapeutic approach with clients is rooted in a client-centered perspective where open and honest dialogue and a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is key to our work together. I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy by helping you create healthier thought patterns and messages you tell yourself. Goal setting can help us stay on track in therapeutic exchanges and help measure growth, so I like to use solution focused based approaches with my clients as well. At the heart of my work is a foundation of mindfulness, rooted in living with intention and being present.

Everyone is different, but I believe when we feel safe we can learn to practice a new way of thinking and make changes in our lives. A lot of the safety may have to do with slowing down our thoughts before we can start to change the way we think about our environment and ourselves. I believe my clients are the master of the keys to their life. However, if they would like, I want to help them find the door and discover a great adventure beyond the door once they reach it.

Thank you for your time and reading about my background and therapeutic perspective. I hope you find the path of joy in your life. There is still so much hope to be had.

Even though I could only speak with her for a short time due to my own circumstances, she had changed my mind and how I view myself and my life a lot. I can only imagine the progress I would make if I was able to commit more time with her. She listens, cares about you, and checks up on you regularly! She offers great advice and direction I just can’t express how much I appreciate her.

I’m still in beginning stages with her, but I think it’s a good match so far. She is a great listener and I love her goal-oriented style. She is also very responsive and I feel like this will be a good experience all around.

I truly appreciate Noel's ability to get to the heart of the matter by honestly listening and synthesizing what you tell her. She's a phenomenal listener, but also asks the appropriate probing questions when needed. She helps me to understand what's going on in my life and how to be kind to myself. She's extremely responsive and sends relevant follow up worksheets that are very helpful. I'm super thankful for Noel!
