I am a Philly based licensed clinical social worker and public health professional. Informed by Immigrant-Filipino parents who love through a sense of home, a chosen Queer family who resist subjugation and a public health community that seeks to honor social, and environmental context, my approach is relational, inter-subjective and grounded in love, honor, and respect.
I received my graduate training in social work from the University of Pennsylvania and my graduate public health training from Drexel University. I recently completed my Doctorate in Behavioral Health from Arizona State University and focused my academic work in developing programing in patient-centered medical homes, integrated-health, recovery-oriented primary care, and body-positive behavioral interventions. I am a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional and have training in clinical supervision for behavioral health professionals
Currently, I teach a wide range of graduate courses that invite an intersectional approach to social work practice at Columbia University and West Chester University. I have a private practice in the Philadelphia area and also provide behavioral health consultation for a community health clinic in Philadelphia. I am deeply honored to be doing this work.

I really appreciate Dr Ramirez’s patient approach to therapy. He is very attentive and focused, knowing what questions to ask, and empathises with your situation. I’ve never had a therapist who knew me without seeing me or anything. He’s very respectful of my preference to not be seen. I’m very grateful.
Noel is great. Always helpful and a welcomed presence in my journey to getting better.
Noel is great. He’s really helpful and listens and brings some important perspectives.
A wonderful counsellor. Incredibly helpful at dealing with a variety of issues I have been dealing with and always very proactive with how I can approach various issues. Would 100% recommend to anyone!
Noel and myself have been speaking for a short time. This is my first experience at counselling and i already feel comfortable in sharing things that I wouldn't usually. Noel says just enough to get me thinking and analysing what i already know. Just helps to have someone to help lay it all out
It’s only been a bit but so far he has been amazing. I probably wouldn’t have continued the trial but he makes me feel comfortable and listened to without being invasive. He’s really great.
Noel and I have only been talking for a couple of weeks. He has been very supportive and has let me rant and complain about everything that is going on in my life. He has offered me a kind ear and advice back. It has helped me already just knowing I have someone to listen.
