About me
I am a Social Worker licensed in the state of Texas. My experience centers on working with military veterans who are struggling with Alcohol or drug abuse and co occurring mental health disorders such as PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, and Depression. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for substance use as well as Motivational Enhancement Therapy, to assist with gaining personal empowerment to make healthy changes in one's behavior.
My approach to counseling is both client centered and supportive, with an emphasis on growth based on personal preferences, strengths, and desire. As a therapist, I believe in facilitating an ongoing therapeutic relationship based on the concept of self empowerment, and as the result of prolonged collaboration with identifying the motivation for change. Change can be hard.
My goal as a therapist , is to assist with exploring and adopting healthy strategies to cope with life stressors in order to lessen the stress entering recovery can create, while fostering a healthier of self-worth and self-reliance. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

He’s really helped me a lot. I’ve gone to a few different therapists before and I’ve generally left more angry then when I walked in. I’m forever grateful and will use what he’s taught me day in and out even if I have a set back I will push forward!
