Nora Bishop, LCPC
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois and have 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with children, adolescents and adult who are struggling with managing symptoms of mental illness. Helping people maintain their self-worth while they learn to overcome their struggles is very important to me. I believe in meeting a client where they are and helping them determine what healthy looks like for them and then help them move towards that goal.
I utilize several therapeutic techniques that include cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy and solution focused therapy. In my experience in the mental health field, I have helped clients work through varied mental health issues in their daily lives and relationships. I believe it is important as a counselor to demonstrate compassion and a non-judgmental approach to what is shared with me.
If you are ready to begin your healing journey, I look forward to working with you.

When I first saw Nora's picture, I questioned whether she would be able to support me as I am a woman of color. However, Nora has been my biggest support. She is completely on my side.
She understands my concerns. Has empathy fo rme and really wants to help me heal.
Many times I find myself anxiously awaiting for my sessions.

I have been seeing Nora for more than two years now. I no longer see counselling as something I need, but rather as something I want. Her expertise, care and insight helps me maintain the life I want to live. I couldn’t be more grateful.
